Stick with HIK!
I tried some non-HIK cameras and while I saved some money, they don't work as well and didn't last as long. I have some 10 year-old HIK cameras still going strong. The PTZ is great, very fast and responsive, and was easy to setup and install.

4 months and already malfunctioning
I bought this camera in October of 2024. It is now March 2nd 2025 and it's already lost its tilt capabilities. It pans left to right and zooms , however no tilt anymore. I now have to waste my time with Amazon or HikVision to see if this can be resolved in any way as my return window has already passed. Very disappointed to say the least .

No tiene seguimiento automático
Esta cámara la tengo instalada con un NVR Hikvision y tambien la uso con frigate NVR para un sistema de alarma pero no he podido encontrar como configurar el seguimiento automatico de parsonas y al mirar nuevammente la descripción del producto no lo mensionan así que parece que fue mi error.

Still a Good Buy??
I have several Hikvision cameras and this one is good. I have not tried to upgrade so I cannot speak to upgradeablility. Works with Blue Iris. 2.8 mm lens is wide view. It works and seems to be a really good buy.***UPDATE*** I bought a second one of these Jan 2020 and both are working fine.***UPDATE*** I bought the DS-2CD2185 Jan 2020 Don't know about the 2CD2183

Amazon sending used.
Amazon is sending out USED security locked units .. With the assistance of HIK VISION on how to remove lockout we noticed mounting bracket was used ,, finger prints on SD card slot ( have to dissemble cam to access ( NOT EASY) Amazon please improve ..
