Great chime and doorbell thank you
The chime works well, i have had one in the past and always regretted moving to another brand. Set up is simple there's an option in the settings of the door bell to set up this device and the sound is loud enough to be heard at the back of the house. I love how I'm able to plug it into any plug I want which allows me to have it in my living room. The arlo doorbell I have received as a gift from my sister but will review this too as its sold on here :) set up was very hard as it was second hand i didn't have any instructions but on set up I was given advice through the help zone which told me to reset the device and how to do this. It worked straight away! I will say I seen some reviews saying it's hard to connect to the wi fi and yes I did have this issue but a call to my EE who put the broadband on only 2.4ghz setting fixed this issue. After the camera was installed I rang back EE to put my settings back to normal and the doorbell is still working (it does say on instructions during set up that Internet needs to be 2.4ghz).Recording is clear and does show quite a bit of the road and I love the option to record longer then the default 15s. There are plenty of settings to change for example video settings or how sensitive the camera is and of course the option to add a chime assessorie which I would recommend as when your phone is on silent you don't know the door bell is ringing unless your on your phone to see the notification. Mic works perfectly and even on windy days I'm able to hear the person clearly. The arlo app is very easy to use and I have felt this works better then my tapo cameras which i had before although I'd say the budget tapo camera seem to be more clearer then the arlo ones! Overall I'd say the camera is worth the money, i will be purchasing the outdoor set up too.

does exactly what it says and in some ways even better.
it works a dream it picks up movement clear out to the street and when I was away I had a picture and conversation with a delivery person to organise what to do worked great

Great video Doorbell
This is the second one I've purchased. Great for elderly relatives. I have fitted them myself at my father's property and my in-laws. The app is easy to use and the subscription (should you choose to go with it) is much cheaper than the competitors. We had a Google Nest Doorbell, which was similar in design but the subscription costs are much higher and in my opinion this doorbell works better and is quicker to respond. I also like the fact that you can set it to ring your phone as if it's a phone call when someone rings the doorbell.

Have used this doorbell camera for a couple of years
Having used the Arlo Video Doorbell and other cameras, for several years I can say that there are too many negatives about Arlo products & services:App Issues:* Frequent crashes and slow performance: The app is unreliable and often requires force-quitting.* Unresponsive UI: The app's interface is often sluggish and unresponsive, making it frustrating to navigate.* Difficulty in setup and configuration: The initial setup process is far too complex and time-consuming.* Inconsistent notifications: Notifications are often delayed or fail to arrive altogether.Hardware and Performance Issues:* Poor battery life: Despite claims of long battery life, Arlo cameras need frequent recharging.* Frequent disconnections:Cameras frequently lose connection to the Wi-Fi network, leading to missed recordings and alerts.* Subpar video quality:The video quality is generally poor, especially in low-light conditions.* Inaccurate motion detection:The motion detection features are either overly sensitive or not sensitive enough. The controls to set sensitivity/range are far from adequate.*Malfunctions after firmware updates, such as inability to charge or reduced image quality, particularly for night vision.Customer Service Issues:* Extremely unhelpful and unresponsive support: Getting help from Arlo's customer support is abysmal, with long wait times and poor resolution and outcomes usually resulting unsatisfactory solutions to problems.* Lack of transparency and communication: Arlo is not transparent about its product issues and lacks effective communication with its customers.Additional Concerns:* Subscription fees:Subscription fees for additional features are way too high. The company employs nasty bait & switch tactics.* Privacy concerns:Arlo's data privacy practices leave a lot to be desired.Bottom line:Arlo cameras are plagued by a range of issues, including poor app performance, hardware reliability problems, and subpar customer service. No wonder there is widespread dissatisfaction among users!

AWFUL - JUNK, don't waste your time
Despite having super-fast internet with excellent range, there was an awful delay between the doorbell button being pressed and the chime sounding. Sometimes (often) the bell didn't chime at all. Sometimes it would chime about a minute later. Also - extremely annoyingly - not only would the chime sound, but I'd get a telephone call on my mobile every time the doorbell rang. Who needs this? You cannot turn that off, well, not without turning the chime off too - you really thought this through Arlo, huh? Also, you can only change the chime during the arduous set up process (in which it NEVER found my excellent router and I always had to enter it manually), with the result that you have a chime sound you didn't pick, if you're lucky (and not at all most of the time), twinned with unwanted calls verging on harassment every time the ****** button was pressed. An infuriating product - going straight back. What a waste of everyone's time and energy.

Loud and works great!
We had a verisure alarm system fitted. They installed an Arlo doorbell as part of the package. only problem was when anyone rang the door bell it only set my hubbys phone off. Did some research and bought this. No problems any more. works amazing, very quick and easy to set up took less than 5 minutes. A nice choice of ringers, not as many as our Ring had but you cant have everything.
