Purchased this for a gift for someone. They immediately fell in love with this machine. They told me that it literally comes out hot within the First few seconds which I couldn't believe but that's what they say. And I'm talking about an avid tea drinker so they know quality when they see it In terms of hot water makers. This is also cute on the countertop also. This review is just 24 hours into Opening the box so who knows what the future holds. But for now, Works like a charm.

I've had Hot Shots for years. I drink instant coffee. It died and they don't make Hot Shots anymore. This hot water maker is so much better. It holds 12 cups of water. You fill it. Has 4 different cup size buttons 6, 8, 12 and 16 ounce. It also has different water temperature buttons. From formula to the hottest for coffee. BEST PART??? STEAMING WATER IN 3 SECONDS. Push size & temperature buttons, starts pouring w steamy water. NO WAITING for your coffee. The spout is tall so if you have a tall to-go travel cup, it can fit under the spout. So much better than a Hot Shot. And it has auto shut-off and auto-lock when it stops so kids can't mess with it. And it lights up so you can see what you're doing. Just make sure your water isn't running low. My favorite kitchen gadget ever!!!

I like this Northmas Electric Kettle Dispenser because it's one of VERY FEW hot water dispensers that actually stores room temperature water, and there is no "hot holding tank" meaning it actually heats the water at time of use, not 24/7. Most of these style of instant on demand units aren't genuinely instant on demand, but rather traditional style water heaters with a tank hidden somewhere. If I go 2 weeks without using this dispenser, I don't want it heating water all that time, wasting electricity. This one does not heat anything until you touch that button. I'm a plumber, and this is important to me. I know what I want. This delivers it to me.The only bad point is I do wish these companies would stop ASSUMING that we all have children. NO KIDS HERE, stop making me hold the annoying child lock!!! Disable that BS!!! I'm a grown butt man. If I hit the button I want the water. Sheesh. I shouldn't have to hold an annoying child lock button EVERY SINGLE TIME. Annoying AF.

UPDATE: This company ended up reaching out to me after all and offered to replace my broken machine at no cost to me. I had a new one on my doorstep within days upon my communication with them. I find that to be extraordinary. I'm giving the company 5 stars for this. I hope this new machine will last and that hopefully I just got a lemon the first time. Very excellent customer service on the part of this company for remedying this so quickly.ORIGINAL POSTING WITH ONE STAR: If I could give no stars, I would do that. I spent nearly $80 on this Northmas Hot Water Dispenser, but it died suddenly just like many others have reported here. It just suddenly stopped making hot water after 8 months. I could not reach the company. I do not recommend this product. I recommend not buying it.

I ordered this as a gift for my husband. It worked ok at first, but after 3 months of using it, the machine stopped heating the water to temperature. We measured it with a thermometer and the water was coming out 30 degrees cooler than what it should be. This is a huge problem if you are using the water for pour over coffee. I reached out to Amazon to request a refund, but it was outside the return window. I was advised to contact the seller, which I did. I'm hopeful the seller will refund my purchase price. I do not want a replacement as when it did work, the heated water had a nasty plastic aftertaste and smell. I had hoped it would dissipate over time, but it didn't work long enough to find out. One star rating because it worked just long enough to be outside the return window.

I’m so glad I found this stylish “hot water dispenser“. I wanted something simple that didn’t need a water filter, I have my own Berkey system for eliminating contaminants in my water. I like the variable volume and temperature settings. It is quiet and fast. I just wish it was half the price for a simple machine. I recommend it if you’d like to treat yourself to something built to be overpriced, and yet stylish enough to sit prominently in your bathroom or kitchen area.

Game changer! I love it! No more waiting for the kettle to boil. This thin makes me a cup of tea in less than a minute. I also use it for instant oatmeal in the morning too! Brilliant! And I love the little light on it. Holds a lot of water and turns off the water exactly when I want it to stop. I also bought the 3 year extended warranty just in case.

I am really happy with the way it works. Did not believe it at first but it does. Starts within a second after pressing the button, the truth is it comes a little cold water for a fraction of a second but then it is as hot as you set it. I guess that cold is still on the little tube, in top of the heating process. It does not poor very fast but still beats boiling water on the oven.
