So Far Very Happy
I looked for months to find a product like this in this price range. All that would ever come up were AOC models at $100 and on up. I have been super happy with it so far. I read through all of the reviews before buying...I like the fact that it comes with the case right around it. It fits right into my laptop bag with my laptop. It is a little bulky, but nothing compared to the standard monitor I would carry around with me (yes, I did that because I find 2 monitors so important). I love the USB connectors. Despite the fact that there are 2 USB plugs, it seems to work with just one. I even tried it with another USB cable I had with just on and it worked fine. The case does make it a tiny bit awkward while sitting on a surface, but not a deal breaker by any means. Also, some people complained about needing a CD or drivers....I didn't have to use these...it was plug and play with my Windows 10 machine. All in all, I am super happy so far. Assuming it holds up OK, I would say it is a great deal. Significantly less than any of the others of this size with the USB cable only. Only minor complaint I have is that the USB cable has a right angle which faces down, leaving it a little awkward to plug in as the connection is close to the bottom. But I am likely overcoming that by using my other USB cable. And it is really not that big of a deal.

Good but not great
Overall, this is a good product with a good price. I am a Vanderbilt law student and bought it for outlining and research work when at the library. However, it is not without its flaws and issues. A few worth noting:SIZE AND RESOLUTION:The biggest drawback is its size. The 15.6 inch display makes this thing much larger than my actual laptop. I knew this and considered it a benefit as the larger screen would allow for a better presentation of side-by-side documents. However, the screen only supports 1366x768 resolution, which on a screen this big is noticeably less sharp than it is on my laptop. The result is that the extra size does not do a whole lot of good. The product would probably be better if it were an inch smaller, sharper, and lighter. The greater portability and sharper screen would make for the smarter design choice.POSSIBLE DRIVER CONFLICT(does NOT prevent easy setup or system stability)My laptop is a Lenovo U400 running with a Cypress trackpad. There is a conflict between the USB driver for the display and the Cypress pad (I run Win. 7 and don't know whether this is true in Win 8), which causes two "invisible" screens to appear whenever the laptop comes out sleep, i.e. anytime I open the lid that isn't a fresh start. From what I have read, this seems to be more on Cypress's end than HPs--I found other allusions to this with different monitor makes. Currently there is no resolution to this conflict. Having said that, it really isn't that big of deal. Simply drag the windows down to the bottom until they are off the screen. Then forget about them. Alternatively, you can destroy them with the Esc. key, but this will also disable the process running the trackpad. To wit, you will lose all your settings.VIDEO PLAYBACKAs to be expected, it isn't very good. Having said that, it is actually much better than I expected. There is even a built in option to optimize playback in the driver. I can see this as useful for people with really small netbooks, who might want to set this up and then lay in bed and watch NetFlix or something. Up close, there is no reason to watch video on this screen instead of your laptop screen. But from farther away, the size might be worth it. In any event, I doubt this will be much of an issue/consideration for most users.FINAL THOUGHTSI really like this screen and am happy I bought it. These "complaints" should be read more as observations. If HP put out the same product in a smaller form factor I would prefer it, but am in no way displeased with this product. I also expect the driver issue will be resolved shortly--these things usually are. In any event, setup was super easy and the conflict does not really effect system stability. Nor is it much of an annoyance once you know how to deal with it.

Smells so bad I can't use it!
This is a really awesome monitor for work. I think it's a great product - the only problem is that it smells so bad I am embarrassed to use it at a client's office. The other people in my office that bought one didn't have this problem, but I cannot get the smell to go away so it is mostly useless to me.

HP U160
Its in the minimum expectation, if you read the manual you will find that the quality of the screen technology it is still in develop stage, that why you find some dark shadows on it. Regarding the performance the mouse it is getting a bit stack in the screen but may be that it is due by the USB 2.0..may be if this monitor come with USB3.0 will be better

Great Monitor
I needed a second monitor and finding one that is portable was a huge bonus. This fits into my laptop backpack and easily transports between home and work. Being powered through the USB is a huge bonus; when needed I can run on battery on my laptop and power the monitor at the same time. The resolution is great for writing, working with pdf files, and internet research. I've used this monitor almost every day for the past 4 months and so far everything is working great. I consider this a fantastic buy.

Go for it!!
This monitor works on usb connection and no other power is needed. The sleeve that is attached to it serves as a cover as well a stand and that makes it very convenient to use and carry along.I have been using it everyday for work since I got it 2 months ago and it has made my life much easier. I have used AOC monitor with similar spec before and i found HP be so much better with respect to its look, convenience to use and fitting it in the laptop bag.
