Tasty and Beneficial Green Lipped Mussel Bites for Dogs
I recently started giving my dog New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel bites as a supplement to support his CCL health and post-surgery recovery.Taste and Palatability:First and foremost, my dog absolutely loves these Green Lipped Mussel bites. The strong fishy flavor is a hit with him, and it keeps him excited during mealtime. The bites are designed to be highly palatable, which is evident from my dog's enthusiastic response. This makes it easier to incorporate the supplement into his daily routine without any fuss.Health Benefits:These Green Lipped Mussel bites have proven to be a valuable supplement for my dog's overall health, specifically in relation to his CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) health and post-surgery recovery. The Green Lipped Mussel is known to be rich in omega-3 fatty acids and natural anti-inflammatory properties, which can support joint health and help manage inflammation. Since incorporating these bites into my dog's diet, I have noticed positive improvements in his mobility and comfort levels.Dosage and Tolerance:For my 15 lbs dog, I have been giving him half a bite with his breakfast and the remaining half with his dinner. This dosage has worked well for him in terms of receiving the desired benefits without any adverse effects. I appreciate that the bites are easy to portion and adjust based on my dog's weight and needs. It's important to consult with your veterinarian to determine the appropriate dosage for your dog.Overall Satisfaction:I am highly satisfied with these Green Lipped Mussel bites as a supplement for my dog. They have become an essential part of his daily routine, both for his CCL health and post-surgery recovery. Not only does he tolerate the bites well, but he genuinely enjoys them, making it easier for me to ensure he receives the necessary support for his joint health. The positive changes I've observed in his mobility and overall comfort further reinforce my confidence in this product.

Great alternative to powdered supplements - my dog loves them!
I got these on a whim while looking for an alternative to some straight green-lipped mussel powder I had been sprinkling over my dog's food. The mussel powder has generally been a godsend but it makes his mouth smell like decaying fish carcasses in a stagnant bay so we've been looking for other supplements. The hunt is over now though, because he loves these. They're like treats. Every night he leads me over to his bowl to ask for them. I think the combo of coconut oil makes them especially delicious to him (he loves coconut oil, he's a spoiled diva baby). And they seem to offer the same general benefits as the original powder, easing his arthritis symptoms and making him a little more spry and playful (he's 13 with bad knees and hips). I'm not sure how much they've improved his breath over the powder, but at least these don't poof out a toxic cloud of old shellfish every time I open the container. We've reordered a few times now, and unless my vet vetoes them at our next appointment, he'll probably keep getting two a day for the rest of his life.

It makes a difference for my Senior Dog
My dog was on a prescription for pain (Novax), it caused her lots of mood and tummy problems, so I was exchanging one problem for another. On a whim, I purchased a very expensive joint vitamin from a veterinarian that I used to replace the pain med with, hoping that it would provide some kind of relief from both the pain and the side effects. I was surprised, and considered buying it again, however it cost more than the already expensive prescription that made her sick. So I did some research into the ingredients and found only one thing different from the ingredients that were already in her senior dog food -Green Lipped Mussels. So I did a little more research and some price comparison and decided to go with this. It works just as well as the expensive senior vitamin I was giving her (I do give her one more than the recommended dose, as it is closer to what was in the other expensive vitamin). I can't say this rids her of all her pain, nor does it turn her into a spring chicken, but I do see a difference in her overall mood, her mobility, and willingness to move (she will actually jump down off the couch and out of the car sometimes now, when prior to this supplement she wouldn't dare attempt a jump of any kind) and she doesn't seem in near as much pain, although she still obviously does have pain after too much exertion. I had to compromise, she was miserable either way and this seems to be a good middle ground for her. She loves it too, it stinks, but she loves it, and she'll actually refuse to eat if I don't throw a couple of them in with her food. She is very stubborn about eating, she would rather her stomach growl for 3 days before eating stupid dog food, but something about these either tastes amazing, or makes her feel special, or increases her appetite, because as long as these are in her food, she is eager to eat again. All I have to do is shake the canister loudly (as she is also partly deaf), and she comes, tail wagging, ready to eat.
